Life in the works of figural artists

    On the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the death of one of the most important representatives of figurative sculpture – Ferdiš Kostka – during the Ceramic Markets you can view an exhibition devoted especially to the figural artists. It will be a unique opportunity to see works of prominent representatives of this style.

MICHAL SCHMIDT  – a personality of the Small Carpathian region

from September 8 to November 13, 2016

    Professor Michal Schmidt, a native of Štefanová. He is dedicated to the history of his native village, he has created an extensive collection of objects consisting of folk textiles, vessels, ceramic pots, but especially the amount of ground industries (stone tools made from a variety of rock, neolithic hatchets, hoes, axe-hammers, corkscrews made of axe-hammers, prehistoric manglers, grain rubbers, whorls, spindles, or fossils. The exhibition is held on the occasion of the significant jubilee (85th birthday) of Michal Schmidt and should express admiration and recognition for his more than 50-year activity.

Book illustrations – Salvador DALI, Jean COCTEAU, Tonino GUERRA

    Salvador Dalí was one of the most popular artists of the 20th century. The diversity of his artistic language is striking; He painted pictures, dealt with book illustrations, prints, sculptures, scenic designs, writing, publishing poems. He designed glass objects and especially jewelery. His working method was provocation and shock.
